Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical helper will be responsible for maintenance of equipment, including preventive and predictive maintenance ensuring these activities are comprehensive enough to drive machine reliability.

**Key Tasks:**

+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety procedures/rules/regulations (Life Critical, LOTO, PSM, PPE).

+ Maintenance of equipment to include checking/adding fluids and greasing; minor repair of equipment.

+ Performing daily, weekly, monthly preventive and predictive maintenance. Ensuring, through effective communication, these activities are comprehensive enough to drive machine reliability.

+ Must be willing to assist in other departments as needed (Granulation, Shipping, etc).

+ Communicating effectively and professionally with fellow employees.

+ Participating in daily shift meetings, prioritizing and reviewing work orders to schedule daily work.

+ Document all activities through SAP work management system.

+ Contribute to Plant Continuous Improvement Initiatives through constant feedback concerning CI ideas, PM optimization, etc.

+ Update job knowledge by identifying and participating in educational opportunities.

+ Any other work as assigned and directed by Supervisor/Manager.

+ Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others. You will have direct accountability for ensuring familiarity and demonstrating the Commitment to Zero policy, leading with a safety mindset and modeling the 3 Safety Principles, modelling the 10 Tenets of Operation and having your own personal safety action plan.


+ Three to five years maintenance experience

+ High school diploma or equivalent.
